Personal Data means information from which it is possible to identify an individual person directly or indirectly.

If you apply for a position at our firm or for an internship or a training contract, this will necessarily involve the collection of your Personal Data.

If you submit your Personal Data to us to apply for a position via the Graduate Recruitment, Internships or Training Contracts sections of our website or to an email address specified in those sections, we will process such Personal Data solely for the purposes of assessing and processing your application and for recruitment purposes. If you commence work with us, your Personal Data will be included in our personnel records and used for the purposes of human resource management including but not limited to, provision of benefits, compensation and payroll; facilitating performance appraisals, promotion and career development activities; making tax returns; and the review of employment decisions.
It is obligatory for you to supply the Personal Data requested. If you do not provide the Personal Data, we may not be able to process your application or provide you with information or services.
4. Retention of Personal Data
We retain your Personal Data only for as long as it is required for the purposes for which it was collected, after which it will be deleted.
We take all practicable steps to ensure the security of your Personal Data.
6. Transfer and Disclosure of Personal Data
Your Personal Data may be transferred to colleagues in our associated offices in Australia for the purposes for which the Personal Data was collected (or a directly related purpose). specified at the time of collection.
Save for the above and except where we are required to do so by law, all Personal Data will be kept confidential and will not be disclosed to any third party without your express consent.
7. Data Access Request
Under the PDPO you have a right to request access to, and to request correction of, your Personal Data. If you wish to exercise these rights, please complete the "Data Access Request Form" specified by the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data and forward it to our Data Protection Officer/Talent Officer, MinterEllison LLP. 32/F., Wu Chung House, 213 Queen's Road East, Wanchai, Hong Kong SAR. We are entitled to charge a reasonable fee for responding to a data access request.
